John P. Cifichiello, CPA/PFS, has been the Tax Partner with Frendel, Brown & Weissman since 1984. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fordham University in 1968. He joined the firm in 1972 after spending two years each with Peat Marwick and the Internal Revenue Service, respectively.
Mr. Cifichiello has a Certificate of Educational Achievement in
Financial Planning from the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and is a certified Personal Financial Specialist he has
also completed the Internal Revenue Service Field Agent Training
Program. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and both the Tax and Personal Financial Planning Divisions of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Cifichiello has a concentration in the areas of not-for-profits,
service organizations, real estate and hospitality companies. He has a specialty in the areas of tax planning, compliance, estate planning and representation before the Internal Revenue Service and is responsible for the firm's staff training in taxation.
